Terms of Use
Last updated: 28 May 2026
These terms govern your use of codeswap.net. By using the site you agree to them. They are deliberately short and written in plain language. If something is unclear, email [email protected].
1. The site is provided as-is
Codeswap, its tools, and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. No warranty is made — express or implied — that the tools are free of defects, that calculations are accurate, or that the site will be continuously available. You use the site at your own risk.
In particular, the model database and benchmark scores reflect public information collected from official documentation and primary sources. Prices change, models get deprecated, and benchmarks are sometimes contested. Treat any number on a model page as a starting point, then verify against the provider's own documentation before making decisions that depend on it.
2. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator of Codeswap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the site. This includes — without limitation — any business decision made on the basis of information shown on the site (model pricing, benchmark scores, comparison rankings).
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you have paid the operator in the previous 12 months (which, for free use of the site, is zero), or (b) the minimum amount required by your jurisdiction.
3. Acceptable use
You may use Codeswap for any lawful purpose. You may not:
- Attempt to overload, disrupt, or attack the site or its infrastructure (DDoS, scraping at volumes that affect availability, attempting to bypass rate limits, etc.).
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any non-public part of the site (admin panel, server filesystem, database).
- Use the site to process content that is illegal in your jurisdiction or the EU (where the site is hosted) — for example, generating content that infringes third-party intellectual property, defames an identifiable person, or violates child safety laws.
- Submit prompts, share-snapshots, or contact-form messages that contain hate speech, harassment, or content that violates Google AdSense Program Policies.
- Republish or redistribute the site's tools or content in a way that misrepresents its origin or competes directly with this site using its own assets.
Reasonable scraping of public pages for research, indexing (by search engines), or non-competing aggregation is fine. If in doubt, ask.
4. Intellectual property
The site's design, code, copy, and original assets are © Codeswap and its operator. You may copy short excerpts for fair-use purposes (criticism, commentary, news reporting, research) with attribution to codeswap.net.
Where the site quotes third-party material (benchmark scores, official documentation, prompt examples), copyright remains with the original author or organization. Such material is reproduced under fair-use / fair-dealing principles and cited where possible.
Content you submit (prompts, contact-form messages, share-snapshots): you retain copyright, and you grant Codeswap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and modify the content for the purpose of operating the site. By submitting a prompt to the prompts library, you confirm you have the right to publish it.
5. Third-party links and services
Codeswap links to external sites — official provider documentation, benchmark sources, repositories, articles. The operator is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of those sites. Use them at your own discretion.
Display ads are served by Google AdSense. Ad content is selected by Google, not the site operator. If you see an ad that violates Google's policies, report it via the ad's "report" link.
6. Accounts and user-generated content (when enabled)
User accounts are not yet enabled. Once they are, additional terms will apply (password handling, account termination, and so on). This section will be expanded at that time, with notice on the homepage.
7. Termination
The operator reserves the right to block access to any IP address or remove any user-submitted content that violates these terms, with or without notice. The operator may also discontinue the site or any of its tools at any time. The site has been continuously operated since May 2026; the intent is for it to remain available long-term, but no guarantee is made.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the site in violation of these terms or applicable law. This does not extend to claims arising from the operator's own gross negligence or willful misconduct.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India (the operator's jurisdiction). Disputes will be resolved by competent courts in the operator's local jurisdiction, except where local law of your country grants you rights that cannot be waived (in which case those rights apply).
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. For substantive changes (new restrictions, new liability allocations), a notice will appear on the homepage for at least 30 days. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. The unenforceable provision will be replaced with the closest enforceable equivalent.
12. Contact
